Bookkeeping. I tend to see fear come from my retailers when I mention bookkeeping because they either don’t want to hand off the job to someone else, don’t want to spend the money, or they have fear of the HOW to simplify it. There is HUGE ROI in staying up to date with your book. Seeing your balance sheet, profit and loss statements and knowing your numbers in real time – is so crucial. Having your bills paid, being able to adjust and pivot with proper info, and the added bonus of peace of mind!!

In this episode, we share common fears: How will we communicate, how will we do this paperless? Even though I was afraid of the process, Kelly breaks it down for us.
Working with a bookkeeper and using simple tools to stay organized and up to date is key.

Automated Online Filing Systems. Receipt Bank (now Dext) and Hubdoc are two big players in this particular area. They will take your documents, pull all of the important data, and organize them accordingly. These platforms also have apps for your phone where you can simply take a picture of your receipts and organize them quickly!
Accounting Systems. Just having a spreadsheet is not going to cut it if you want to grow and see success. Quickbooks is the most well-known way to start.
